My Kingdom For A Horse

One day, a note would arrive.
Every Whazzitian of the proper age would receive one, their own names carefully written across the front and then sealed with wax and ribbon. Should they choose to read what was inside, they'd find an invitation. Pairing season was upon them. Their presence was humbly requested for this year's societal debuts. A carriage would arrive at their homes at the precise hour and deliver them safely to the manor (and back home, as well!). Should they have nothing to wear, don't fret. There would be a selection of outfits inside to chose them in precisely the right size.
And no you do not need to know how they had all your measurements.
Oh, and double no you didn't have a choice in the matter. You were going to wear something appropriate one way or another, gosh darn it.
Once all that was settled and the prescribed date and time arrived, horseless carriages could be seen headed out of the weyrd from every which direction. They traversed through the wetlands and beyond with ease, eventually arriving at a sprawling estate. Footmen stood at the massive iron gates, directing the carriages ahead towards the house itself. Though, house was a bit of an understatement. It was absolutely massive, constructed of old stone, and framed by carefully manicured gardens on either side. A gilded fountain sat centered in front of the stairs leading up to the doors, creating a sort of roundabout for the carriages to drop people off and head to wherever they'd be hiding for the duration of the party.
For that's certainly what this was. There was music, a string quartet, spilling out into the front lawn from some unknown location. Servants bustled about with silver platters of what could only be the most delectable of hors d'oeuvres. It was absolutely magnificent.
Or, well, it would've been if they were letting anyone inside.
"How long is this going to take?" The exasperated voice of Wolfgang rang over the din of the party happening just beyond reach. It looked like his carriage had arrived first and some kind of guard or butler-- it wasn't clear-- was attempting to placate him, telling him they were only putting the finishing touches on it would be just one moment and please be sure to fill out the cards if you were making your debut today.

notes
- This is a Pegasi bonding! But your characters don't know that. ;D
- Once you decide if you'll be presented or not and y'all make it into the party, you'll have the chance to court or be courted by the other guests in attendance. Which means no double bonds this time around!
- The most important guests will be described in my post below once you meet them (they're the Pegasi -wink-).
- Multiple characters are fine, but no shinies please!
- Oh, and it's regency romance attire! Think Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Bridgerton, etc! Wolfgang is wearing something like this for inspiration!
- EDIT TO ADD: if your character isn't generically human sized (i.e. much taller or much smaller), the same magic of the carriages that can provide them with outfits will cause them to be human sized for the duration of the bonding. The estate isn't exactly size inclusive!
