Kad-mi the Ditre'aiz floated at the seaside, as close to serene as the anxiety-ridden Beorfin ever was. The soft rocking of the waves was naturally rhythmic enough to soothe his mind and not dredge up any worries that the beat was off tempo, and the gentle shushing against the sands not far away helped cover up the constant trainwreck conjured in his mind about everything that could go wrong.
He had a purpose in being there, though. Geoff was his rock, and to a lesser, reluctant extent, he was learning to believe that Ra'yu was likely a reliable source of strength as well. The rest of the shinies, however, he had no companionship with, could imagine too many scenarios of interactions turned sour and then their living situation would be so uncomfortable because he'd make everything tense and unpleasant but he couldn't LEAVE because that was his safety, his shelter in the storm, but what if it ruined the synergy he had with Geoff by making him upset by pitting his bonds against each other because he screwed up and --
Breathe in. Hold it. Breathe out. Waves. Focus on the waves, and on the tendril of Geoff securing them together.
So, yes, he was here, not making any attempts to draw attention to himself, but trying to work up the courage to do so, or find someone else who was. Maybe if he got practice with others, others that didn't live with him, he could safely try this... knowing others thing without as much dread of ruining their careful relationship balances. Was his fur out of place? His fur was out of place from letting the waves push him, wasn't it. He wasn't going to open his eyes he couldn't bear to look and actually see his imperfections. Breathe in. Hold it. Breathe out. He could do this.
Eventually.
