The healer wasn’t the one who answered her question. It was the stranger with the guitar, who’d been strumming and humming earlier. Silver orbs stared at him for a hot second, calculating. To give them rest. The slayer knew of magic, trained a little bit in it even, but this was a little more spiritual than she familiar with. The drow went to go turn back to the wolf she had been speaking with, but he was gone. David had begun to play a new song, sing a new tune, and Zebey was now surrounded by nothingness.
She wasn’t quite happy about it, slightly unsettled, but she shifted in place and waiting. She tried ignoring the shiver that ran down her spine. This was the sort of thing that would make her on edge, back in her home world. Magic that suddenly pulled her away from reality with such swiftness she didn’t have time to register it. She idly rubbed her right palm with her left hand, eyes sweeping the area.
The wizard’s voice reached her, and instinctively, the elf knew his physical form wasn’t there. Two wolves instinctively sprang to her mind- the two that had immediately caught her attention upon their arrival to the fire. Shifting on her feet, a slight grin parted dark lips. ”Yours,” she answered, eyes still roaming around to see if she could catch him reappearing, ”And the one I was talking to before.” She didn’t know the Darlshei’s name, or his rank, but she didn’t doubt the Wizard’s ability to figure out who she was referring to. He was cunning, after all- he’d be smart enough to discern who she was requesting.
Then, the drow waited for a response. Her hands ached for her bow, out of habit, so instead her arms crossed over her chest.
