As the middle child to a pair of Irish Catholics from outside of Boston, it shouldn't be surprising that he's Father Clarence. If you ask anyone who knew him growing up though, it's one hell of a surprise. The good Father wasn't always so good, you see. He had a smart mouth and a penchant for trouble. He was the kid that managed to talk his way out of every detention and, trust me, he got a lot. He got the kegs for all the high school parties. There was even a rumor he got a girl from the local all girls' school pregnant. That was most definitely a rumor, though.
CR was a smart kid even if he was a rebel without a cause. He went to a prestigious university in California, a seeming lifetime away from his family and reputation. It was a fresh start, but he took it to do the same things he'd always done. He knew where all the best parties were and was always invited. That's what happens when you're good with people and don't have another outlet. He decided to study philosophy to pick up girls, after all. You know, pretend to be the sensitive type or something. He wasn't planning on actually learning anything.
