It’s a day like any other.The sun is shining bright, the Firelizards are chirping, the Gryphons are squawking, and there is a new pub in the Weyrd, and for some reason or another you are in it. Maybe it’s by choice, maybe it’s through weird, PIF magic, but whatever the case may be, you are there, standing at the entrance of the pub, which is full to the brim with various guests. A man to your right with two pairs of glasses but three sets of eyes rifles through a newspaper, a group of Demonhounds lap out of bowls of water (?) to your left, and the pub is generally full of noise, life and excitement. All eight circular tables in the middle are nearly full with a few seats open, and the bar at the end is nearly at capacity as well, with various people and shinies chatting away with the pubtenders.

But dotted throughout the pub are a group of eleven fabulously single Celeste Cats, mostly engaged in separate activities but all more than ready for your full attention. No matter to what you do, if you try to leave, you’ll end up here, over and over again. And rather than being terrifying, it’s clear that this is some (annoying) PIF trickery. So like, kind of normal. And, no one else is entering the doors after you. Everyone is in their own separate universe today, so no mingling. Today you're the star of the show and you alone.

The Jock Bestfriend Type Goethite is perched up on a stool at the bar, with an empty seat to one side. He is chatting up with one of the bartenders, who is clearly charmed by his antics.

Do you approach the Goethite?
a. Take the seat next him and insert yourself into the conversation.
b. Take the seat next to him and order a drink
c. Stand behind him and tap him on the shoulder

The Sarcastic Type Selenite and The Jokester Type Iolite are seated at the table closest to the door, sitting across from each other and speaking loudly over the noise of the rest of the table. The others sitting there don’t seem quite so entertained with this conversation happening over them. Mindspeaking can be a private thing, but why be private when everyone around you can hear!

Do you approach the Selenite?
a. Loudly “EH-HEM” at her
b. Stand there until you catch her eyes
c. Interrupt the conversation

Or maybe the Iolite?
a. Tell him to quiet down
b. Laugh loudly at one of his jokes, even though he hasn’t told a joke

The Rich and Vain Type Pyrite is straight up standing on the bar. He does not need to be on a chair, it is quite literally beneath him right now. He’s talking to another poor bartender, complaining about the glassware and wooden mugs, because honestly, you can do better!

Walk up to the Pyrite?
a. Agree, these cups are atrocious
b. You know what, you LIKE these cups actually
c. Drop your dollahs on the bar and get the most expensive drink because you DESERVE it

The Intellect Type Charoite is straight up frowning, grumpy cat style, as he listens to The Bad Boy Type Iolite and The Sassy Innocent Type Verdite arguing. Well, it seems that the Verdite is arguing and the Iolite might be toying with her. That’s not very nice, is it. There’s only one other couple sitting at their table, and there are three open chairs otherwise.

Comfort the Chaorite?
a. Strike up a conversation with him
b. Sit next to him, all silently and broody
c. Offer him a drink (????)

Chime in with the Iolite?
a. Egg the Iolite on, because why not
b. Sit next to him and listen, amused
c. Tell him to knock it off

Talk to the Verdite?
a. Try to pull her into a new conversation
b. Sit down and lean in front of her to block the Iolite from her
c. Ask her if you can pet her

The Shy Type Morganite is sitting at a full table, but facing completely away from everyone else at it. She looks miserable, nervous, and her tail is fanning over her face, maybe a nervous tick? The The Cat-Next-Door Type Verdite is laid out on the ground a little ways away, bright eyes on the Morganite, but just watching for now.

Rescue the Morganite?
a. Wave her over from a distance
b. Approach her as if you’ve known her for a long time
c. Introduce yourself to her

Notice the Verdite?
a. Ask her why she is on the floor...
b. Compliment her
c. Trip on her, you didn’t actually notice her

And finally, The Twin Sister Ammolite and The Twin Brother Ammolite are sitting, literally in a dark corner. They have two tails twined together and they are shiny, humanoid, creature watching. They seem to be enjoying themselves, even with the stoic looks on their faces.

You Are Most Popular To Me Goethite

As big as a Celeste Cat can be, this Goethite looks even bigger than his already large size because of his long, poofy coat and extra thick mane. His coat is a magnificent brown, rich golden streaks that give him an earthy look. His mane is streaked with a creamier color, as well as the tips of his three tails, only adding to the scruffiness of his appearance. His eyes are narrowed, almond-shaped, perhaps giving him a more eerie appearance as they are solidly black, like a starless night sky.

There has never been a more popular Celeste Cat that existed, with thick, athletic muscles, and loud and cheery personality. With a booming voice and charisma oozing from every cheery laugh, this Goethite is always ready to get up and move around. His athletic form isn’t all for looks, mind you, and he’s always ready to move, go, for action and adventure. He wants to go here, there, everywhere, and he wants YOU to be right alongside him. Though he has an abundance of companions, he has a way of making you, his bonded, feel like the apple of his eye, the only friend who really matters. He loves compliments and praise, but gush about his sweeter side, and well, he might slink away and hide. He’s certainly not perfect, he runs away from his emotions oftentimes and may make a joke at the wrong time to try to lighten the mood, he is always there, ready to be a shoulder for you to cry on and an easy-going companion who will stay there right by your side.

They Are Mine to Command Selenite

Striking is one word that can be used for this Selenite. She starts at a dark black at the tips of her tails, then fades, gradually, as a gradient, up her body up until the near-white paleness of her face ending with the stark snow white of her eyes. Though she’s about average in height, she’s got some bulk to her, muscle. Her strength and athleticism is shown clearly in the way she moves, jumping distances with ease, steps with grace, and can run at great speeds without even breaking a sweat.

The illusion of pureness from her white eyes are just that, clearly an illusion. This Selenite is calculating, always well aware of her surroundings and ready to execute plans a, b, c, d, e, f, or even g when necessary. And those aren’t her ONLY ones. She’s a master at reading others around her, and will do whatever it takes to have you play right into her cute little paws if she so desires. It’s not really a game so much as it is a challenge and a desire to get what she wants when she wants. While manipulation is her strength, as it is with many Selenites, this lady certainly does not suffer from a sweet tongue. She speaks her mind, but very indirectly, purring words of sarcasm through a grin of her sharp teeth. Though she loves nothing more than climbing all over those around her, this Selenite is fiercely independent, preferring to not allow herself to be tied down by anything or anyone. Her bonded is a means to end and nothing more…nothing more!

All For One and One For Me Pyrite

With a sort of calico-like coloration, this Pyrite looks as though someone turned the saturation down and the brightness way up. With oranges looking more golden and blacks with a silvery tone, the sheer shininess of his coat makes him look simply like an expensive prize, royalty, even. It’s clear that he takes good care of his coat, with not a single tangle or sign of matting anywhere. He’s rather small in size, with shorter legs and stubby tails. His golden eyes shine the brightest of any part of him, with an intelligent gleam.

There’s something rather simple about this Pyrite, and it is that he likes nothing less than the most exquisite and complex fineries all around. He’s always in the know, he knows the hottest items, the most hip places, and the most in happenings. It’s hard to really understand where all of his information comes from, it seems to just materialize, but this Pyrite never reveals his secrets. He expects nothing less than being pampered by the best of things, often going as far as asking questions, challenging the REAL value of things. He loves nothing more than telling or listening to an embellished story, and will certainly be impressed by anyone with taste that is almost as good as his very own. He’s forward and stubborn, willing to reach straight out and get exactly what he wants. He’s direct, and though he knows when to soak others with compliments, to get them to do his bidding of course, he prefers when the compliments are directed at him.

I Will Learn All I Can Chaorite

The Chaorite, to his own delight, is not at all flashy in his appearance. He’s completely average in size with good and proper posture. His coat is shorter than others, a plain gray with a slightly slate blue tone. His eyes are lavender, often pensively narrow, always darting around, always perceiving as much of the world around him as possible. He has this uncanny ability to stand, sit, be as still as possible, unblinking, unmoving, with the gears in his mind turning as quickly as possible.

Fiercely and sharply independent, this Charoite is easily exhausted by large groups, preferring to have time to himself. As most in his rank, he is very intelligent and is especially good at teleportation, which is great, because he can and will use it to get out of situations, even when his timing is not exactly polite. He has a natural curiosity, always ready to welcome new knowledge, and will always tend towards new things because he will always want to fill in any gaps that he has. He is, however, rather against showing strong emotions, and even though he does get quite excited about new things, he’s quick to quash any of those feelings and hide them as closely to himself as possible. He also doesn’t take any pleasure in flaunting his intelligence, and is more than content being left to himself or observing from the sidelines, without much attention being drawn to himself.

This Morganite is coated with the beautiful, tortoiseshell splattered texture throughout her coat. Though she is dominantly black, and dappled with orange-tabby patches, with a particularly large spot over her left eye, down her muzzle, and splotched over her right ear. Her back-right leg is also almost entirely an orange tabby color. She’s small with a large poof of a mane that seems to take over her entire being, like she can hide behind it. The pink of her eyes match the pinks of her pawpads, rosy and sweet.

The quiet nature of this celeste cat goes hand-in-hand with her shyness. She does not speak often, constantly afraid of saying the wrong thing, and will always stay back, allowing others to move ahead of her and act in her stead. She has a nervous energy to her, practically vibrates it, and though she tries to stay as under the radar as possible, it’s almost impossible to miss her. Any major attention of course sends her into a tailspin of shyness, and she will immediately grow flustered, which often leads to babbling or shutting down entirely when she feels that she is in over her head, which is often. In spite of her shyness, this Morganite does enjoy being among others, and is happy to watch and listen. She’ll remember small details about those around her with a sharp memory, and will always be sure that no one is ever forgotten, even when she doesn’t mind being forgotten herself. It just takes a bit, a lot, to get her out of the share, but it’s certainly worth it.

Have Fun With Me Iolite

With clear, cyan-blue eyes that absolutely gleam with mischief, this lean Iolite is always moving, weaving around legs, vanishing into bushes, and disappearing into the shadows. He tries to disappear into the shadows, at least, but it’s a little difficult because his coat is entirely white save for a dash of black on the tip of his tail and a dip of it over his back right paw. He’s handsome, with a slick grin, and quite the expressive face.

This Iolite loves nothing more than playing pranks on others, ranging for easy and mild and maybe not quite noticeable, his failed pranks, to maybe a little outrageous and over the top and almost dangerous, his greatest pranks of all. He’s smart, but a specific type of smart, and too smart in that way for his own good, but life with him will always be a party and always, kind of, enjoyable. As much as he loves plotting the greatest prank of all time, he finds equal amounts of enjoyment in pranks that are played on him. He’ll be impressed with a job well done, even when it involves some sort of injury, and will at least applaud a weaker attempt, and his view of seeing everything as a prank, on a planet like Whazzit, has him seeing the world from a slightly different perspective than others might. He has some trouble taking things seriously, and has a tendency to brush things off, big or small, in favor of keeping things light. He doesn’t want to ever be a buzzkill.

Watch Your Back and Your Front Iolite

Large, with muscles stretched over long bones and spindly limbs, this Iolite is certainly looker, and dressed the part too. He’s black, with some tuxedo-y white streaks on his chest, as well as a pair of socks on his front paws and a small dash of white over one side of his muzzle. His eyes are the navy color of the twilight, approaching into the blackest of nights. He swaggers around, exuding confidence, with his three tails often lashing behind him. Each step he takes is with purpose, as well as each sideeye and downturn of his head.

If there is any sort of heart of gold somewhere in this Iolite, it is buried deep. He is confident, cocky even, always putting on airs of looking down at those around him to the point where maybe it’s not airs at all, just the way he genuinely thinks or feels. He is not remotely a fan of following orders, often doing the exact opposite of what he is asked, and will leap much before he leaps, preferring the reckless option before anything safe or responsible. He will never back down and show any degree of cowardice, and he is brave to the point of foolishness. He’d much rather be a fool than a coward anyway. He has sarcasm, he has wit, he will tease and prod rather ruthlessly, and sometimes has trouble knowing when to stop. He has a hard time apologizing, getting defensive and doubling back, but at the end of the day his bonded is still his bonded, and he may just offer a softer side to him if you dig deep enough.

I Am Here For You Verdite

There’s something about this Verdite that is infinitely familiar, slight in structure with a long, smooth coat. Her fur is creamy, with a peachier and deeper colored tail and the same peachy colored cracking throughout her body like the marbley veins of granite, with a few streaks framing her face. Her eyes are a bright, shining green, the colors of sunbeams through bright green leaves. Everything about her demeanor is calming, easy. She holds herself in a relaxed way, stretching out or sitting in a way that seems vulnerable, because she’s comfortable.

There is something about this Verdite’s personality that is nostalgic. She is familiar, immediately ready to open and get to know others as well as she can. She is a people-cat, an every-species cat, and is social and very easy to get along with, and is the type of celeste cat that others would want to get along with. She isn’t flashy or special in any ways, she doesn’t really want or need to be, and is content with just being who she is the way she is. She’s easy-going and responsible, and always a good time, but to anyone who grows close to her, things seem a bit off. The thing about getting close to this Verdite is that, though her friends are many really, really getting close ot her seems impossible. She’s slightly distant, maybe a little bit guarded beneath the surface of down-to-earth, and it takes more than simple events and social gatherings to fully figure her out. But once you have, if she lets you, she’s loyal to a fault, and will be that home that you have always wanted.

I'm More Than That Verdite

This Verdite is dark brown, almost black with a sort of reverse point, a lighter dusty white masking her face, dripped on her ears, paws, and tail. She is leggy, long and tall with three tails that whip quickly behind her, with a sort of wavier mane. Her eyes are a deep, forest green, narrowed with distrust, and her body seems rigidly held, almost uncomfortable, with anticipation. Her movements are awkward, uncoordinated as she carries herself through the world.

It is pretty hard to tell where exactly this Verdite got her inferiority complex from. She’s perfectly fine, smart, cute, capable, but she is generally trying to prove herself in the form of sass. That’s right, she won’t let anyone walk over her or stand in her way, and she intends to deflect any of these blockades in her life with smart comments and as much attitude as she can muster. The one problem is that she is actually quite naive, not having lived through many life experiences, and will sometimes be in way over her head before she even realizes what is happening. She’s gullible, a little too trusting, and as muchas she’d like to have others wrapped around her paw, she often becomes tangled up instead. So much of life is just treading through water, she will someday come to realize, but for now she fights sinking underwater by thrashing as much as she possibly can.

One to Adventure With Ammolite

Small in size, this Ammolite is a small dustball of silver with darker leopard spots swirling over the entirety of her body and stripes that stretch up her limbs and tail. Her left eye is a clean seafoam green, her right eye is a powdery sky blue, and her third eye a soft pink. She’s a bit of a lap (Celeste) cat, often smushing herself up against the warmth of another body, and she will sit up with perfect poise, wrapping her three tells up around over her paws, or laying as a loaf with her limbs tucked under her.

The younger of the twins, the Ammolite sister has a lot of spunk when you really get to normal. She feels safest when she is with her twin, and will often fall into old and familiar habits, but when she is alone she is curious, observant, and excitable. Though she is comfortable as a pair, she quite likes being an individual, and shines brightly when she does so. She is occasionally too brave, leaping into things that she cannot handle with wreckless abandon, and enjoys when others can match her in wit and are willing to go on adventures with her. While she is initially reserved, careful, she is ready and waiting to burst out of her shell, and find someone who will match her energy, or at least stoke the flames and let her shine. She’s a little careless, clumsy about things, but she means well, and will lead the charge into anything that she thinks will be a good time or interesting, at least.

One to Cozy Up With Ammolite

He is generally less excited, more of a homebody that somecat who wants to go out and explore, and is perfectly content wrapped up and snuggling by a warm fire and in a cozy blanket. He is not only initially reserved and careful, but always so, perhaps creating more distance when he is separate from his sister because he cannot feed off of her energy. While he doesn’t necessarily enjoy meeting others, he will someday be comfortable enough with his bonded to become a snuggly mushball, if they are willing, at least, to deal with some of his complaining, because that, in the end, will never truly leave him.

Rules:
1. Bring as many characters as you like, but please note that I will prioritize that each player gets at least one Celeste Cat, and additional characters will bond if there are left overs!
2. I want this to be as fun and stress-free as possible! My plan is to respond fairly frequently with shorter posts, so that more interactions can happen. If you’d like to respond but don’t have the time to write out a full post, I am more than happy for you to simply respond with an option (literally that phrase alone is fine by me)
3. Feel free to fill in conversations that I do not explicitly describe. Also feel free to interpret the options as loosely as you want, as your character would do it!
4. Jump between CCs! All of your characters are interacting with the CCs completely separately, so you can choose to interact with as many as you’d like. Know though, that the more attention you give one cat the better they’ll like you. ;)
5. Note that the way that I’ll decide bonds will be a combination of preferences (the largest factor), how much you interact with the CC, choosing the correct option (I have vague point values), and your creativity!
6. There will be ten main posts/rouds. My plan is to have one round a week, and I will respond to you as much as you’d like in between posts!

To be honest, she wasn't entirely sure why she had left her cottage today.

Perhaps she'd needed to collect more herbs? Maybe she was out of baby's breath for a spell? Or maybe something was just... Calling her to leave. Whatever it happened to be, the half-fae found herself padding lightly through the forest, humming softly to herself as her little bare feetsies crossed over sticks and stones alike. Occasionally, her pointed ears would twitch and she would change direction, as if listening to directions. It was silly of her to just blindly follow instructions like she was doing, but she did it for her goddess all the time, and even occasionally her goddess' husband. So surely there couldn't be any harm in her doing it this time? Right? Nodding to herself, the girl would pause atop a fallen log, her hot pink hair catching the sunlight in an almost brilliant way. She continued to allow whatever this mysterious force was to lead her, and eventually found herself easing through doorways into a loud- ... Bar?

She'd never been to one of these before. Smelly human places, as her mother had told her. They drank alcohol here, very different from the kind they had back home, but she supposed there wasn't any harm in at least experiencing this just once.

Gazing around curiously, the half-fae would allow her eyes to take in everything, noting her exits and where everyone was seated for the time being. Should she get a drink? Rhiannon giggled to herself, shaking her head a bit and tapped her nose with her index finger. Did she dare? She was certainly old enough for it, but perhaps she should try to actually interact with others before indulging in alcohol. Besides, when was the last time she'd spoken to anyone? It had to have been the last time her mother visited, about... Twenty years ago. Oof.

Okay, so socializing it is!

Rhia would look around once more before easing over towards the table Closest to the door, peering curiously at the two celeste cats with a polite smile. Should... Should she interrupt them? That seemed very rude, and if there was something a fae rarely was, it's rude. So perhaps she should just...


Approach the Selenite, with option B -- standing there until she catches her eyes

Zebey didn’t remember how she got the pub. Today had been a busy day of getting chores done, cleaning, getting food, normal everyday things. And now she was sitting at the bar, of this random pub that wasn’t here two days ago, drinking some wine. To be honest, she wasn’t complaining. This was nice. It was a little crowded, but she got over it. She was enjoying people seeing. She thought the demonhounds were hella cute, lapping out of their bowls next to her, and as her silver eyes swept the room, she finally got to the cats. Most of them were at tables, some talking and others not. She remained at the bar, watching the humanoids and shinies alike interact. One man was nearly completely drunk, three seats over from the slayer, nearly passed out. She rolled her eyes.

Killing the wine and tossing a coin to the bartender, she took two bowls of water, stood and approached a table. It was the table in the corner, shrouded in the dark, because of course the drow would find this table and decide to go over to it. Why, you ask? Well, they were doing the exact same thing she was just doing- creature watching. She couldn’t tell who they were looking at. But she felt drawn to them, and wasn’t about to ignore her intuition. The drow approached, then hesitated out of habit. Strangers usually saw her appearance and fled. Drow didn’t have the greatest of reputations in her homeland, and she usually strayed from the looks of others, to avoid having nasty looks thrown her way or sharp, biting words. But this place wasn’t like that, at least not from what she’s seen the past couple of months. She shrugged it off, and nodded to both of them as she arrived at the table.

“Hey,” she greeted, leaning down to place the water down for them. “Figured you could use a drink while people watching.” She didn’t sit down yet- probably wouldn’t unless they indicated it was fine to do so. Honestly, she wanted to join them. It was more fun people watching with others, but she didn’t want to impose. She waited for their reaction instead.

Just a few days. A few more days left in this damn inn. Although her castle was just now springing up its bare stone bones in the Eastern Arbor, even the most unfinished of its rooms would be a magnificent upgrade compared to this. She couldn't bear the thought of how many weeks (months?) she had spent in such a commonplace dwelling. Really, she had to commend Iaris on how hard she had been working on their grand estate. Nalris was brilliant and surely he would transform the fundamentals into artistic masterpieces, but efficiency was not in his vocabulary.

Despite all her efforts to locate The Portal, every attempt had failed. Even the one time she laid eyes on it...poof, gone. It almost felt like Fate had condemned her to an eternity on Planet. But Haelys was also the type of person convinced she could bend Fate to her Will if she tried hard enough, so she hadn't given up quite yet.

The queen would be mortified at how routine her...morning routine was. She had brushed her hair three times, scrubbed her teeth with a minty type of bark, slipped on and tightened one of her white dresses, and dabbed her lips with the rosy-mauve colored extract of Pomeberry.

She walked out of her room with the casual stride of someone who had done this many times. But as she turned to head down the hallway, she found herself in...a different pub? Unless barkeep had drastically redecorated overnight—which she knew he was not capable of—then she was certainly somewhere else.

Naturally, she turned around and went back through the door...only to find herself standing in the same room.

Okay. Well. Aside from the fact that she was doomed to be in this strange land for longer than she had hoped, Fate didn't need to do much persuading to convince her to drink first thing in the morning.

She approached the bar, brushing past the Goethite and other seated guests to settle at the end where there was space for her to stand, her wrists resting (im)patiently on the edge of the wood. The poor bartender that was dealing with the Pyrite used Haelys as an opportunity to divert his attention. He, of course, did not know that her expectations weren't much more reasonable.

"A glass of your best wine." She stated simply.

"Oh. Uh. Let me look. I—I think there should be some wine around here." He crouched down behind the bar, clanging some objects around as he searched deep in the shelving. The woman's eyes narrowed, looking thoroughly unimpressed at the unfamiliarity with her very favorite drink. He popped back up, holding a dusty glass bottle.

"What is that?" Where Haelys was from, wine was made and kept in kegs. It spoiled rather quickly. There was no way to preserve it—no glass bottles or corks.

"Wine!" The man exclaimed proudly. "It's an advanced technology. They say the longer it sits, the better."

"Hm..." Well that was completely counter-intuitive. Her lips became tenser as if studying whether or not he was lying. He sure seemed genuine.

"It is, however...pricey." He admitted slightly bashfully. Haelys' shoulders straightened and her neck lengthened, her expression intensifying.

"Do I look like someone who cannot afford that?" Her words cut so sharply through the air that the bartender stiffened and swallowed hard, as if a knife was to his throat.

"N—No. Of course you can. Yes. Here, try it." He scrambled to quickly open the bottle.

Haelys admittedly relaxed once she brought the (peasant wooden) mug to her lips. She absolutely deserved it.

Walk up to the Pyrite.

[Tuk-tuk]

A Warpriest of Azathoth walks into a bar and laughs at nothing, cackling his way to the table with the Iolite and patting him overly hard with a wing-arm. Tuk-Tuk has no idea what he's walked into, but there's shinies and humanthings everywhere and he is ready for some entertainment.

[Henna]

Protagonist - Rhiannon

It took a bit of time for The Sarcastic Type Selenite to notice the small amount of effort that Rhiannon took to catch her attention but when she noticed the half-fae’s eyes, she turned to The Jokester Type Iolite with her white eyes, before looking back at Rhiannon. With a quirk of the corner of her kitty lip, she raised one of her dainty light gray paws and gestured towards their table. The Iolite watched with an upturned smile of his own, as his companion turned to the Armadigger beside her and spoke some words that Rhiannon would not be able to hear from this range. The Armadigger gave the Selenite a look, it was hard to determine what look that was exactly, then hopped out of his chair with a huff.

The Iolite turned his head away so that Rhiannon couldnt’ see it anymore, but the Selenite featured again with her paw, then patted the seat beside her. With her pure white eyes round and expressionless, it was impossible to tell what she was thinking.

Do you take the seat by the Selenite?

Protagonist Zebey

While both The Twin Sister Ammolite and The Twin Brother Ammolite did not seem to pay much attention to Zebey as she approached, as she drew closer, they both stared at her, mirrored eyes moving in close to unison as she came closer. Their expressions were unchanged, and their gazed followed her as she set the water down before her. Polite, clearly, but they didn’t move, not at first. But it was soon clear that they didnt’ move because they didn’t have to. The water moved up, slowly, first towards the female, levitating a little shakily while she took a dainty drink. It was placed down, then lifted up again, this time towards the male, just as shakily, and he drank too, just as daintily, for what one could swear was the exact same amount of time. Alrighty then.

Thanks you. they spoke, one after another, then looked in opposite directions, at the two empty seats on either side of them. Sits please.

Protagonist Haelys

The Rich and Vain Type Pyrite did not at all notice as Haelys entered the bar, but he did notice when she stole away the bartender that he was so kindly berating. While he initially had his mouth open, ready to give her some choice words, but closed his mouth quietly as he watched the interaction unfold. A...pricey drink did they say? Still on the bar, the Pyrite very much approached Haelys with a grin. It was an attempt at a charming one, but it ended up being just...cheeky.

Thats fancy drink now. He spoke directly to her, not bothering to offer her a greeting or introduce himself. Seems knows thing or three about necessaries in life. He eyed the wine, with all three of us golden eyes, or wait, was he staring at Haleys’ money instead?

The Jock Bestfriend Type Goethite did notice the small commotion that Haelys seemed to have caused (or maybe that was the Pyrite?) and chuckled to himself, thoughtfully chewing some of the fish that he had ordered at the bar a few seats down.

The Jokester Type Iolite certainly noticed Tuk-tuk, as he always paid pretty careful mind to any sound of laughing because...well...he was the jokester it was his thing, ya’know? He gave the bird person a cheeky grin, even when he was patted rather aggressively on the head with a wing-arm. You liking that ones huh? He said haughtily, completely aware that no he had no told a joke, at all. The Sarcastic Type Selenite had literally witnessed this, and she was staring at both the Iolite and Tuk-tuk with a what the everloving fuck is happening expression. Mores where that one coming from. Lots mores.

A sip of the wine, a long slow exhale as if she had just tasted heaven. Her eyes caught movement across the bar. Gaze shifted over, noting the sly charm and confidence. She had not interacted with this sort of creature before, though she did not seem surprised.

"There are things that only become necessary once you have experienced them." She rotated the mug smoothly, the wine swirling inside. "Yet, once you've tasted them, there's no going back."

Her eyes lingered on the third eye. Interesting. Did it do anything different from the others?

"What do you know of fine things? Do you drink wine?" If she was going to be stuck here, she might as well entertain herself.

She turned slightly to see the Goethite giving a little chuckle and glance their way. Was that...fish? Haelys would eat quality, well-cooked fish, but she doubted this was up to her standards.

"If you're amused, then you should come tell us of the fineries of your life." Her voice was mostly welcoming, and yet there was a spicy little sting within.

Tuk-Tuk paused in patting the cat when a positive response came his way, and was ready to start chanting for jokes jokes jokes jokesjokes jokes, the same as someone normal might chant for shots, but noticed he was being stared at. His beak clapped shut and he stared back at her for a moment.

"What!" he proclaimed, spreading his arms wide (hopefully the Iolite could duck or he would be forced to endure more flappage about the head). "What are you staring at!"

[Zebey]

Zebey was very aware that both of the Ammolite’s eyes were on her. Trained on her, zeroed in, unblinking, she got the memo. Had she cared, she might have been bothered. Instead, she just waited, partially bemused and partially curious, until the water started moving. A brow quirked. As it took its two trips from table to feline, rinse and repeat, the slayer remained quiet. Her pupil-less silver gaze followed the bowl in silence. She didn’t need to count to know that each trip took precisely the same amount of time. It was mildly creepy, and the drow loved it.

Their indications to either seat next to them, both in a different direction, came as a slight surprise. She thought they would agree on a seat- as identical as they appeared to be- but she just shrugged and sat down in the seat closest to her, which ended up being next to the brother. The drow remained straight-backed, legs kept together. Her gaze swept the room, then settled on the pair again. She found herself celeste cat watching, rather than people watching. They were quite fascinating. Zebey finally leaned back in her chair, turning her attention back onto the crowd of people. “Anyone interesting?” she inquired. They’d been here longer than her, after all.

The last time her entire life changed and stopped making any sense, she'd spent a lot of time in a bar trying not to think about it. That was a lot less feasible in her given situation, but that didn't mean Alice didn't still appreciate the atmosphere. And today seemed to be particularly busy, which was also something that she appreciated.

One thing that was also of note was that there were a lot of cats here today. Did cats drink? She supposed that she could be a cat and she definitely drank. Also these were probably not actually cats but weird fae-cats. You know, like everything else she had encountered. We mentioned life not making any sense right?

So, what the hell? When in Rome, right? Rome was a nice place after all.

"So what's a nice-" She paused, briefly, to pick the best word, "Individual like you doing in a place like this?" She asked one of the cats, taking a nearby seat.

Protagonist Haelys

There was a gleam in The Rich and Vain Type Pyrite’s eyes, as Haelys responded, his tails lashing out behind him, all different colors. So this woman knew a thing or two about the fine things in life did she? Very curious indeed. At her question he scoffed. Not out one of thems, no. The (glass) bowl that he was drinking (his water) out of floated slowly into the air, sort of wobbling, but staying mostly still as he took a few sips out of it, daintily. You knowing of best places?

No, he did not drink wine (wine wasn’t for Celeste Cats), but Haelys didn’t need to know that.

The Jock Bestfriend Type Goethite turned to look at Haelys as well, space black eyes almost haunting as they stared at her, wide. But a smile played at his maw, and he leaned to one side, clearly not a threat in any way. Fineries for me? No, no. Not in my styles. The very though of it made him chuckle again, but he was certainly intrigued. You be teaching me bout them?

The Pyrite, for everything he was worth, was not pleased with the divided attention but...well...the human had money.

The Pyrite is so totally not impressed

The Sarcastic Type Selenite was taken aback by Tuk-Tuk’s words and his flapping at first, but an amused grin split wide over her face, one that did not look very...friendly. You, darling. She practically purred. The Jokester Type Iolite still felt like he had the stage, and opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by the Selenite promptly. You is just so… she looked him up, down, folding her tails neatly over her paws with a tilt of her head, weird.


The Iolite brought a paw up to his mouth, trying to stifle his laughter, but did not do a very good job of it. Sick burn, he almost offered her a high five, but then he knew better. He turned to Tuk-tuk, shaking his fluffy white head, I bes funnier. Betting making her laughing. The Selenite could hear him loud and clear, but seemed willing to entertain this proposition. And betting yous can’t.

We all know how this is going to go...

Well the Selenite was very rude!

While the gazes of both twins followed as Zebey chose to sit besides The Twin Brother Ammolite their perfect unison broke momentarily, then. Look, they were twins and really close, but they weren’t connected at the brainstem or anything. The The Twin Sister Ammolite speaks first, her voice noticeably higher pitched and light when she is speaking alone. Sees that one? One of her three tails pointed in the direction of a woman, sitting at a table, head in her hands, She asleep. Has no coin. her brother piped up, gesturing to the group of Demonhounds, who were clearly not going to be paying. Dropped his’s ring. Not finishing drink. She’s happier sits here, but not hers. Not wearing pants. The twins pointed to and fro.

The Drow was certainly correct about the people watching. Maybe too much so. They both looked at her expectantly then, as if they had prompted her.

Protagonist Alice

The Sassy Innocent Type Verdite’s attention is immediately pulled away as Alice joins the conversation, or rather, starts a new one of her own. Her dusty green eyes blink slowly, surprised, and her ears pin back on her head and she looks away. I’s going nowhere else. Even with the broken mind-speech, no, that didn’t quite make any sense. The Bad Boy Type Iolite openly laughed and The Intellect Type Charoite gave a tiny shake of his head, embarrassed for her.

And why YOU here? The Verdite sputtered, clearly flustered because, well, Alice had called her nice. And she didn’t know how to react to that bland compliment in the slightest, which just sort of lead to some aggression. It all made sense, really.

No needs to embarrass yourself more. The Charoite’s mindspeech was clearly better than his companion’s, and he knew it. The Iolite continued to smirk, because he didn’t even have to DO anything here.

The Verdite did NOT see you coming!

Haelys smirked at the Pyrite's response. If she was insecure, she would have felt threatened by this competition of class. But instead, she appreciated his reply. In her mind, she could not be out-classed, even if she was drinking from this unimpressive wooden cup. Her smirk disappeared as the bowl floated in the air. Fascinating. She was quite intrigued, though her expression did not give this away.

Her gaze then traveled to the Goethite, studying his rather eerie eyes. What powers did he have? Were they all different? The way he carried himself certainly seemed different.

"I cannot teach one who is already convinced that sophistication is not 'his style'." While her tone was rather casual with a hint of humor, she spoke the absolute truth. "Although, if you surround yourself with individuals like myself or my new acquaintance here," she tipped her cup in the direction of the Pyrite, "you may learn a thing or two." An indirect compliment to the Pyrite, who she once again turned her attention to.

"The best places?" She repeated, pondering the question briefly. "I must admit there aren't many worthy choices around here. However, The Tipsy Talent is a rather pleasant shop. Some of the best artists and craftsmen in the area display their works there—perfect if you're redecorating. They serve wine while you browse, which makes it all the better. It's also one of the only places that has the sense to paint their walls white. It really makes the room much bigger and more beautiful." She paused, silently running through more ideas. "The Mazerinth just outside of town has wonderful garden areas for reading or a picnic. I do not, however, indulge in their corn mazes, of course. Luckily, the areas are spread out enough so I am not disturbed by the games of the childish. Bringing an umbrella during peak sun is best." Haelys has just recently learned what an umbrella was and she, naturally, had a white lace one. That seemed like enough information for now. While the queen was rather forthcoming about her opinions and ideas, she also was not one to share all her secrets and details. There was a balance between bragging and keeping the best for yourself.

With that, she grabbed her mug in one hand, the bottle of wine in the other, and smoothly got up out of her seat. Through the front door of the bar she walked, inevitably returning to the same room. "Hm." Well, it was worth a shot.

She glanced over to the bar where she had just been, then scanned the remainder of the room. Apparently she was willing to be quite social when trapped in a place with strangers. The wine warming her belly likely helped, too.

She wandered over to the table with three Celeste Cats, if only because she was now curious what powers they had. Interacting with three of them, especially while two argued, might teach her more about them. She took a seat next to the Charoite, noting his expression. She said nothing, taking sips from her cup as she observed.

“Oh, you can speak on your own.” The comment slipped out before the drow was really aware she had even thought it, much less said it aloud. But her tone was light and jibing, and her slight smirk only added to the evidence that it was, in fact, a joke. As they pointed out each person, the woman’s pure silver eyes turned to the individual in question. Or individuals, depending. They were very observant, the pair of them, and the slayer found she was liking them the more their oddities came out. A smile curved the corner of her lips, and then she found that their list was done. Their focus was on her now.

Without skipping a beat, she jerked her chin to a guy standing in the corner. He was dressed in all black, hood pulled up, leaning on a dark wood staff. Softly gleaming yellow eyes were the only things really noticeable about him, shrouded by his hood, but reflecting the candlelight on the table in front of him. “He’s been standing there for hours and nobody has noticed. He’s a wizard- the spellbook on the table is his- and he’s hoping to catch other magic users less aware of their spells and belongings. He’s already stolen two, from the women there-“ her gaze snapped to a woman three chairs away from the wizard, clearly drunk, half on her stool and half climbing up her table- “-and the lizard there,” she finished, nodding to half man half lizard, passed out asleep at the bar. He was also noticeably missing a coin purse, clearly cut from his belt with fire- the strip of fabric still clinging on was smoldering slightly.

Then she focused on another person at the bar. Or rather, behind the bar. “She’s the bartender’s assistant, but has been fixing his mistakes all night. Wrong change, wrong drinks to wrong people, she gets yelled at by him when she’s clearly better than him. The patrons prefer her anyways, but she doesn’t get the recognition- or pay- that he does.” In truth, he was lazily talking to one customer, clearly a friend of his. Other patrons were getting dry and angry, and she was running around, trying to satisfy everyone and make up for his slack. She was a pretty thing, short, with furred cat ears, a big bushy tail and dressed in a corset and layered skirts.

And, finally, the last one. “Oh, and of course, the goodest boy in the place,” Zebey said, indicating an old dog- he looked like a hound of some sort- laying on the floor, near the door. He was awake, face droopy and tired, but his eyes were alert. He was watching them all, carefully, not belonging to anyone but obviously ready to spring to protect anyone. He had been coming here for years, so the female bartender had told her earlier when she asked about him, with his master. His master died a year ago, but he still came here by himself, watching and protecting. He had stopped a hoarde of Requiae, years back, from assaulting the entire tavern and stealing away with the barkeep’s coin. “His name is Ol’ Bastio,” she added, softly, and locked eyes with the canine briefly. Then, she turned back to the Twins.

Just as the half-fae was debating whether she should politely speak up, it would seem the two shinies would notice her. Smiling softly, she would watch the exchange between the Iolite and the Armadigger, noting a bit belatedly that the Selenite had invited her to sit with them. Though the invitation seemed polite enough, she wondered if she'd perhaps done some sort of faux pas; maybe she should try to interact with others more often to relearn their customs.

At any rate, she would move to it beside the Selenite, smiling politely to her and the Iolite as she attempted to at least be somewhat graceful; never mind the fact that her feet swung a bit aways from the floor. She was tiny, but then again, so were firecrackers so there was that.

"So, have you found anything of particular interest this- ...evening..." Rhiannon's ears would flick in surprise as a sudden exclamation from the bar rang out. Twisting in her seat, she tilted her head at the Orc who had wandered into the building, laughing as he told a much smaller dwarf that he could out-drink her. The half-fae tilted her head slightly, eyebrows raising further as the barkeep served them both massive mugs of some sort of mead, the corners of her mouth tilting upwards.

"Humanoids are so fascinating to me. I don't get to interact with others much. Have you two seen this behavior before?" She opted for conversational, though the fae part of her mind was fretting she was doing some sort of social faux paus. Rhia knew fae culture inside and out, but the people here on the weyrd (shinies included) were another story entirely.

[Henna]

“Last call!” The barkeep shouted out as her eyes shifted back and forth between the still rowdy bar. It might take some time to get people out, but a few burly looking Whers and their lady handler appeared from a back door. The barkeep seemed satisfied with her body guards, and turned to look at the crowd again. “Wrap it up! Get your last tips in!

Protagonist Haelys

The Jock Bestfriend Type Goethite noticed the barkeep’s words, but The Rich and Vain Type Pyrite straight up ignored them. Listening to all of the fineries that Haleys mentioned certainly got his gears turning, opening his mouth and closing it again several times in an attempt to get a word in, and then, just like that, she left! His golden eyes darted after her, not one to not get the last word in, but the Goethite held up his huge paw and shook his head. The Pyrite had lost his chance at her attention, and the two watched as she marched out of the pub with all of the dignity in the weyrd, then marched straight back in.

The Intellect Type Charoite was not expecting company at this point, or any point really, and prepared himself for whatever conversation that the woman would strike up with him. But she didn’t, she just sat there, and he relaxed, though not visibly. He debated internally for some time whether or not he should say something, she was just minding her own business after all, but the only others near him were The Sassy Innocent Type Verdite and The Bad Boy Type Iolite who were embroiled in some sort of spat or another that irritated him more than anything else.

Can I help you? his words were noticeably more eloquent than the other Celeste Cats that Haleys had encountered, and his eyes blinked, slow, though he didn’t make any eye contact.

Well, can the Chaorite help you?

While the twins did not seem to react to Zebey’s joking comment, there wasn’t a negative reaction either, which had to be good, right? They waited, patiently, for her observation, mismatched set of eyes trained on her until she began to speak on her own. And away she went, with two sets of three eyes darting to and fro each time she spoke. The Twin Sister Ammolite piped up first, a bit more energetic than she had seemed when she was matching pace with her brother previously. I not noticing that! she chirped, not really specifying what part she hadn’t noticed. The Twin Brother Ammolite on the other hand was, for the moment, quiet. His eyes continued to scan the crowds while his sister had now fully engaged herself with the Drow.

You doing lots watching hm? She piped up when there was a moment of silence. Her eyes seemed to show a different sort of emotion now, a twinkle beyond mischief. Her brother seemed less impressed. What elses you do?

Over in another universe, The Sarcastic Type Selenite and The Jokester Type Iolite also flicked their attention in the direction of the Orc, though neither of them startled particularly. The Selenite rolled her eyes, while the Iolite cracked a smirk. Fascinating one wording, yes.[/color] She responded, not making eye contact with Rhiannon just yet. She was looking at her claws, as if she had just gotten a manicure. I thinking mores...unsophisticated. She turned her eyes to Rhiannon here, as if she was testing the half-fae. What she was testing for exactly wasn’t entirely clear.

Yous sophisticated? The Iolite snorted, his neon eyes narrowed in a grin. That, to him, seemed like a stretch.

Last call? Was it not the morning? Aside from that, she physically hadn't been able to leave this damn warp-hole, so Haelys was unsure what they expected all these patrons to do once they 'closed'. The queen gave nothing but a small, prickly huff in the direction of the bartender.

When the Charoite spoke, Haelys' gaze slid over to him with just a gentle tilt of her head in his direction. Well now, she hadn't expected help to just be offered up to her like that, though she was glad to take advantage of any opportunities that came her way.

"Indeed." She answered calmly and casually, taking a long sip of wine from her mug. "You could tell me of the powers of your species, the magic behind it, and if one might be able to acquire an exquisite third eye of their own without being of the feline persuasion." Well, since he had asked, she'd load up on all the questions she could.

Her gaze then shifted to the two still bickering. They had been using nothing but words as weapons thus far. But that was quite boring for any kind of pub brawl, wasn't it?

"She really isn't very good at standing up for herself, is she?" Haelys spoke of the Verdite as if she was not part of the conversation. "One is essentially asking to be picked upon if they can't hold their own." Another remark that was like a sharp projectile aimed at the Verdite.

"Perhaps if she used those pretty eyes of hers the way they were intended, she could teach her challengers a lesson." Haelys took another sip of wine through her clever smirk.

The Chaorite can absolutely help Haelys

It seems the two were diverging here. Her observations had piqued the sister's interest, but the brother was waiting for something else, it seemed. To the Twin Sister's question, the Drow paused. Her gaze swept the bar. It seemed here, there were so many varying races and creatures and unexpected arrivals that she blended in. Back home, Drow were viewed as evil and distasteful. Especially among the other Elven races, she recollected memories of being attacked on sight. Magic Missiles hissing through the air as she was chased out of town, trying only to buy potions and food. Her jaw tightened, and she dispelled the memory by taking a quick swig of her drink. "A lot of watching, yes," she finally answered, sighing.

To the Twin Brother, though, she quirked a brow. He wanted to know more? Zebey wasn't the bragging sort- she preferred to prove her reliability through actions, not words. But it would be very difficult to show what she could to them here, in this bar. She would most certainly be detained immediately; her expertise lie in her archery, and in the shadows. How could she show them she could hit a target with five arrows in one shot, no matter the distance, in this place? She would probably scare someone to death. Like her appearance does to any elf.

Suddenly, she felt an urge to spill out her story. The Drow was immediately suspicious, even as music suddenly filled the bar. Nobody else seemed to notice- silver eyes were quickly darting around to check. Did the Ammolites hear it? Why did she want to sing? She can't sing, what in the world was going on? Her hands were drumming to the beat now. Was this a magic trick? She knew weird things happened here but this was ridiculous.

You know what. Fine. You wanted song? She would sing.

She started quietly because she was self-conscious setting the tone. Zebey began telling the tale of demons attempting to take over the Worldwound, being beaten back by the crusaders. She grew up being attacked and targeted by demons many a time, though she was saved from being sacrificed by a mysterious stranger. Then, as she got older, she was attacked by the villagers, by her own elven folk alike, to the point where she had to leave her adopted mother to feel like she could be safe.

She continued on to sing about joining her party- an oracle of Sarenrae, a fighter, and a wizard- during a full out attack by demons. Her town's protector, a great silver dragon, was killed by the demon lord and gifted all of them one of her scales to save the Worldwound. Her travels were described, battle after battle, endless fights against demons with her making them pincusions with her arrows. They scored a mighty victory- they killed the demon lord that killed the great silver dragon. And then, she stopped.

"... I'm never doing that again," she muttered to herself, quickly lifting her drink to her lips and killing the rest of it.

Wolfgang hated this place. It was, ugh, rustic. The citizens were, gag, friendly. And about absolutely zero real world logic applied. Today, for example, he woke up fully dressed and standing in the middle of a dingy bar full of weird talking cats to say nothing of the other patrons.

Wolfgang let out an exasperated, somehow still standing in the exact spot he’d woken up in. Well, at least it was a bar, right? It might be morning (was it?) but he was a brunch professional. A little morning booze was nothing. Maybe it’d even help soothe the headache this place was giving him.

He tried to walk to the bar.

And, surprisingly, thankfully, it worked. One of the, um, cats(?) was complaining to the bartender about the glassware, which caught Wolfgang’s attention. Though, calling it glassware was pretty generous. There were definitely mugs made of wood. Were the owners of this place not aware that wood was porous? There was no way that was sanitary.

“Oh god,” Wolfgang was absolutely horrified and he looked from the talking alien cat thing to the bartender, “Can I just get a bottle of chardonnay? Emphasis on the bottle. I’m not letting one of those obviously filthy things you call cups anywhere near this,” and he waved a hand at his face.

A saloon? Well, that was a pleasant surprise. Boone smoothed out his shirt and did his best to brush off the dust that was honestly never going to come off. It didn’t matter too much, though, as once he entered the building it sort of matched the decor. This certainly wasn’t like any saloon he’d ever been to before, but that had a lot to do with the strange creatures all over the place. He’d come to learn that, for the most part, they were friendly. Even still, he found his hand unconsciously reaching for his gun because, friendly or not, he hadn’t gotten used to them. It was going to take a lot of mental undoing. But, he was prepared in the off chance that when night fell they turned into the sort of beasts that lurked out in those rolling plains just out of sight.

The rancher shook his head to sort of clear his train of thought. He really did need to find a map and start heading on his way. His horse was gone and he, unsettlingly, hadn’t seen a single one in this town. It was going to take him a long time to walk the undoubted miles he was from home. He also needed to come up with a way to do that safely. Alone and on foot was asking for trouble and he knew it.

It took a moment for Boone to find a seat at the bar, but but he eventually spotted an empty stool next to a strange looking cat. Conveniently, it looked like the thing had a barkeep captive too. With a soft clink, clink, clink of his rowels, Boone crossed the room and sort of half-sat on the stool. When there was a pause in the cat and bartender’s conversation, he interjected politely, “Whiskey please, thank you.”
