There are many ways to ensure your child's success. Some use their connections. Others overwork themselves to ensure their child's best future. But you gotta admit, hiring a crooked priest to place a powerful spirit in your baby will surely solidify his place at the top. Shouldn't it?
Junho comes from a world full of spirits, wispy beings, forces? that have little motivation besides pure instinct. Physical manifestations of these spirits aren't commonly sighted, but the effects are from time to time, depending on the spirit. Anything irregular, unnatural usually circles back to the actions of a spirit, whether the occurrence was good, or more often, bad. No one knows much of these beings, where they come from, how they come into being, where they go, but they are a part of every day life. A brand new television short-circuiting out of the blue, a tree bursting into flames in the heavy rain, the world has come to revolve around surviving in spite of these mysterious happenings. In fact, some people thrive on their very existence. Spirit insurance, spirit hunters. While most people go about their day ignoring the spirits as much as possible, others have become more involved.
The spirits that are particularly powerful people often refer to as deities. Many are powerful enough that they can, or must, take on some sort of physical form (animal-like, dark cloud, horrific monstrosity) and leave large paths of magic or destruction in their wake. Some people chase these forces, experts often call themselves "priests", and are actually successful in taming or otherwise eliminating them as threats. Some use wholesome means, charms, other spirits or deities abilities, while others use other, darker means.
Junho doesn't know the details, exactly. He was born in Korea where his parents, in their words, tried to give him the best chance of power and success. At only a few months old he was often sickly, trying to contain a powerful deity that would often split faults into the front yard whenever he cried out. They moved to the land of "promise and prosperity" before he was a year old, and as an infant, Junho had learned to temper his emotions from going to either extreme. It kept the feverishness and nightmares at bay.
Now, as a young adult, Junho's appearance doesn't necessarily reflect his sickly past or the chaos tethered to him. He stretches just above six feet tall, lean at around one hundred sixty pounds. His face is narrow, eyes dark, and black hair somewhat unkempt but pushed back to stay out of his eyes. He enjoys looking reasonably nice, but prefers practicality over discomfort.
Personality-wise, Junho has grown up to be sweet and goofy. Though he's often quieter, sometimes shy, he enjoys being around people. He has a go-with-the-flow attitude, acting as a sort of social chameleon, filling in roles when he needs to though generally maintaining his laid back nature. At home, with his family, he is the older brother, caring and attentive. With his friends, he is the one who will stumble into any adventure, lend an ear to any who need it.
