Name: Muriel
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Age: Young at heart
Class: Monk
Weapon: Fists/Feet (unarmed)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: A short and unimposing senior lady, Muriel takes pride in her small stature. Her shoulder-length hair, usually tucked up in a neat bun, has long since faded to a peppery white and grey from its original mouse brown. Through the years, she has retained her rounded cheeks and perky dimples, but they have acquired a soft, wrinkled texture over time. Her eyes are dark and earth-toned, but have a jovial, youthful glimmer deep down, and the corners of her eyes are often lifted by a smile. Her limbs are thin due to her tiny frame, but they are surprisingly well-muscled for her age due to her regular martial arts practice. Supple as willow vines, they snap with agility and accuracy in a fight.
Personality: Known to be very present-minded, Muriel does not often dwell on the past or fret about the future, and as such leads a relatively carefree lifestyle. A good portion of her day is spent in silent meditation and revere, as well as baking, knitting, and doing all the typical tasks expected of a little old lady.
All this mindfulness does not mean that she is sedentary, even as an elderly grandmother. On the flip side of this tranquility, she is a very active and nimble individual, walking and talking faster than some people a half or even a quarter of her age. Though she likes peace and quiet and a good cup of tea, she'll also jump in for a lighthearted spar of fists in a heartbeat. When she's not sitting in solitude, she's energetic, even bouncy.
Few things scare her in life, except the thought of losing her dear and only grandson, Jerry, whom she adores. Wearing her heart on her sleeve, she will tell her life story to anyone who will listen, but she'll bake you cookies to make up for her hours of rambling if you're patient enough. At the same time, she has been through enough in her life to know when to listen, and offers an open ear to everyone, even those who have slighted her. She does not hold grudges and forgives easily. A stranger who bumps into her on the street is more likely to receive a hug in return rather than a terse remark.
