A Dip in the Night

Nights had grown longer and there was a nip of cold that came in with every breath that was taken outside or anywhere that wasn’t insulated or warmed. The weather certainly contributed to a sense of laziness that was inevitably felt by many throughout the Weyrd, a desire to hunker down and cozy up alongside a shiny or maybe against a cobbled together fire.
That is, of course, unless one stumbled upon the hotsprings that seemingly appeared overnight. At the top of a cluster of a sort of rocky outcropping that some might have recognized right near the town (or was that even there before?) flowed a stream that spilled into a smaller raised pool, like a hot tub, with other smaller less raised pools of various sizes surrounding it. Surrounding all of those is the main hot spring, a huge pond compared to the others with soft, translucent teal water filling a majority of it. One side was a bit murkier, but still a pleasant color. It’s easy to stand on one end, but it’s impossible to tell how deep the other side goes.
Within days, possibly hours of the hotspring appearing, Whazzitinians quickly took advantage of the strange event. Someone installed lights along the hotsprings so that it was easy for anyone to take a dip when it was dark, and a steady stream of guests came, somewhat regularly, throughout the day and into soem of the nightt ime hours.
So when Ren was interrupted in the middle of the night by her fully grown Emerald dragon while she was sleeping in her ship, she scowled.
“What?”
« Fascinating things at the hotspring indeed. » It was like she was talking to herself, but decided to loop Ren in at a random part of the conversation, and the turian reluctantly rolled out of her bed and looked for a thick sweater to put on. She didn’t really trust the idea of water that was hot on its own. She knew that there was some geology or something to it, but she was fine staying dry.
And maybe she wasn’t leaving so reluctantly. It had been a while since adventure had shoved its face directly into hers.
When she arrived at the hotspring she didn’t even need her mittens or her coat, the heat coming off of the water was enough to keep her sufficiently warm, and she could hear George’s drums in the distance, though he was playing them softly, as if to not disturb anyone’s rest (if only she could be so lucky, and Ceci didn't even come with her). She thought she saw movement in the water, not making any sense of the drum’s sounds, and peered below the surface, though the deeper end didn’t really have lights, so it was hard to tell.
ooc: This is going to be a completely relaxed bonding. C: No set schedule at the moment. Will probably have more info here eventually??
And now she would wait.
