Singular: Purrble
babie/s: Purbb's
Plural: A pile of Purbbles
Description:
No one knows where they came from, perhaps they were always there. Or maybe the PIF had a sudden grande idea! and went ahead with it in a subtle wave of its hand. Which would be by far much more unusual then the Purrble, the PIF isn't know for exactly being subtle. Purrbles come in many shapes mainly based on the material they're made of. Commonly they are made of rounded smoothed stones found along beaches, rivers, lakes, deserts, etc. Wherever there is a large pile of pebbles you can be sure there's at least a few Purrbles hiding. Purrbles work together to form semi-large piles of stones, like an anthill, inside this pile Purrbles hide when frightened or threatened. Otherwise they love to roll and tumble about the area creating their signature sounds.
Communication: Purrbles cannot mind speak but as A Purrble moves their bodies clink-clank together creating an odd buzzing tapping sound similar to purring. The frequency and pitch is unique to each Purrble. It takes some time but with enough practice its easy to tell how a Purrble is feeling from the sounds they make, low long rolling purrs are often signs of affection, love and happiness. Quick rolling high pitched purrs a sound of excitement and play while sharp taps and buzzing can be angry or startled.
Appearance: Some sport ears and tails, some sport strange rocky wings its uncertain why they have such features but its commonly considered that whatever magic animates them tries to imitate other living creatures. Their shapes can come in the most common of animal forms recognizable such as cats, dogs, birds, etc or more obscure things such as buffalo, camels, echidna's, etc. Rarely does a Purrble imitate an insect or plant but sometimes this may happen.
Bonding: Bonding a Purrble is almost as strange as seeing one, Purrble bondings are often based off skills with rocks! skipping rocks, piling rocks, tossing rocks, finding one shaped like a heart, you name it. Each Purrble is unique some might want the heights stack of stones possible, another might require that the rock skipper at least skip their rock five times! some require that you bring them pieces to fit onto their bodies. A glass having lost a bit of its tail wanting another glass piece as an example.
Chasing: Purrble chases are quite simple, the Purrbles in question gather around and form tall stacks of stones usually flat or as flat as they can find or are provided for them. Then they climb the stack and balance atop it. The last to fall is the winner- after that the Purrble pair will wander about picking up favorite bits of rock, stone and other odds and ends to form and dote over until they too start to animate and roll around. A pair of Purrble can usually create another four to six Purrbles!
Serpentine
The hardest Purrble to find in a pile Serpentine are a shy shadowy sort, often hidden tucked away deep in the recess of the pile home, Serpentines spend their time creating intricate works, a beach with peculiar aligned stones in spirals and patterns often can be the work of a Serpentine. Serpentine like to create works of art and are quite imaginative in fact when it comes to seeking out new homes for piles a Serpentine is often the first to find a good spot or place to start building.

Jasper
Rare and Aloof is the Jasper, their bright red colors are a stark contrast in a pile. They often like spending time alone hidden away during the daylight. Jaspers go out of their way late at night to comb the area for pretty stones taking them back to the pile to expand it. And if there's an structural issue with the piles home they go about slowly fixing it. A Jasper is a wonderful Purrble worker and expects other Purrbles and creatures to work just as hard.

Quartz
Simply put a Quartz is quite vain, they often like to dress themselves with other bits and bobs, taking little bottle caps for hats, wearing plastic rings, you name it they'll try it. In the Purrble pile Quartz strut their stuff- or at least attempt to. Now one could think this has no use (which you're kinda right) but for other Purrble its great fun! A quartz gets amusement from entertaining other Purrbles which is great for baby Purrbs who often need distracting, otherwise they might run off and get into who knows what. Quartz are similar to glass in that they try to lift the spirit but not as in depth they are more surface, fun, and unintentional baby sitters.

Glass
Glass are quite the enigma, A glass might be transparent with their feelings showing all in the pile how they feel and think on the surface but their thoughts and feelings are deep as a well. They provide other Purrbles with comfort, scold when needed and praise where able. Out of pile a Glass purrble is often the one to help emotionally all other Purrbles and or bonds. Glass colors can very from bright to dull often frosted with their bodies having rolled about. Blues, purples, bottle grays and yellows any color that glass comes in so does a Purrble Glass.

Flint
Flint follow closely with Granite, their appearances are often more cat-like with long tails made of sharp edged bits of flint, the tail often can get to dramatic lengths and then suddenly. Short. The reason is that a Flint is the first line of defense for a pile, they whip their tails at their attackers sending chunks of sharp rock flying at faces and bodies. It might not do much to such large creatures but it is very annoying. Flint are often darker colored, slate grays, deep blacks and often quite shiny! their main bodies could be obsidian or other dark material with a jagged tail swaying behind them.

Granite
Granites aren't as curious nor as social as sandstone but they often are inclined to seeing what sandstone does- if from a distance. Granite are observers and come in many tones their rocks often mottled with specks and patterns. Granite are often the first to respond to any threat to their piled home, sturdier and larger pebbles make up broad bodies. When a threat tries to reach or tear apart the piled home Granites will push in the way using their bodies as natural shields for their brethren.

Sandstone
The most common of all Purrbles sandstone varies in tones, from light sandy yellows and tawny browns to deep tomato reds. Much like how sandstone is malleable and prone to change sandstones are highly curious. They'll roll and tumble their way far from their homes without meaning to getting lost on occasion and having to call out for help. Flints and Granites will often go to collect them if needed and lead them back to their main pile.
