Ohhhhh, coffee! The beverage probably ranked high on the list of things Alabaster ShouldNotHave (pesky kidneys and their issues) but really, he had been feeling quite well (if still old) since arriving at Whazzit, and his human wasn't around to keep him from getting into foodstuffs he should steer clear of. So when Co offered the cat a bowl of coffee, he was quick to take her up on it - with plenty of cream, of course! No cream on offer? Maybe next time, then. Either way, he was content to relax and listen to the gryphons, now that the chaos was done.
Only it seemed it wasn't all that done, or at least, that funky cold draft was threatening to start things up again. When the skittering wind cut off Tukirae the cat looked about, ears flat in irritation at the latest interruption by forces unknown, and heaved himself to his feet again. He had just gotten comfy, too. That seems unfriendly, he observed with disgruntlement before another thought summoned Khaliizi back from exploring the cave, and Bell reluctantly from her place in the former nursery. A moment later the Sky, far less ruffled than Alabaster (which was impressive, since the gryphon actually had feathers to ruffle), firmly sank a bond into the hivemind, followed immediately by the dramatic Breeze, and Alabaster was left with the distinct feeling that whatever the cold air heralded was nothing to the new experiences that awaited the cat and his mind-sibs.
Mumford was going to be so happy.
I suppose there is plenty of time, Alabaster agreed, and, since discretion was always the better part of valor, promptly suggested they all return to the hut to share that tale with the rest of the oddball clan. Oh, and maybe they should take Ophyra back her blankets. With Ayledae eagerly leading the way back out, off they went to start the latest adventure - finding the way back to the hut in the dark.
(OOC: Thank you for wrapping this up, and for my babies! <3 )
