1/9/18 edit
As the recent newspost was just posted and we have tons to talk about on it, here's a quick update for this week. Full newspost to come next week!
Bondings to Join
On top of the ones listed, we now have Beorfins!
And we also have a new chase with Firelizards!
Happy New Year (and four days) everyone! Hope everyone is staying warm in this blistering cold, as plague-free as possible, and sitting around with a strong internet connection, especially because the admin team is kind of failing at these! |D
Anyone who has not claimed a mystery egg may now do so! No fancy process, just roleplay the egg being found and keep track of them here. The egg needs to be included in at least 20 posts (anywhere IC posts), or if you can get to 30 for a little something special! The egg will hatch on the 31st, no matter how early you finish, and because this announcement is being put up 4 days late, anyone who completes the challenge by February 4th will still get the reward. Whatever it is. :3 ~mystery~
As always, feel free to ask questions!
Bondings to Join:
Requiae
Gryphons
Look forward to Beorfin and Flamma in the next month, too!
The Dragons application process has closed, and @nicolai has been selected to hold them!As you see in our newly(ish) updated sidebar, the upcoming bondings will be reflected. Just calculate about two weeks between each one, a timeframe that everyone seemed to be satisfied with...though speaking of upcoming…
Shiny creation and voting
With the new year, and a cycle of bondings almost coming to a close, we would now like to begin the process of adding more shinies to Whazzit!
Please check out the Shiny Information board and tell us what you think! Anything in red and underlined is up for discussion! These include:
1. How frequently should shiny voting happen? Twice a year (February and August), three times a year (February, June, October)?
2. Once a shiny has been submitted, if they are not voted in what should happen? With what is written now, the shiny can be resubmitted, as is, three times before they need to be reworked for another attempt. Thoughts on this?
3. A shiny voting round will not happen if there are less than x amount of shinies up for voting. We're thinking ten, too many, too few?
4. And, how many shinies do people want to add for the year of 2018? This will open up for discussion again once 2019 starts if we'd like to make the number larger or smaller. We can add one or two shinies every voting period if we do it three times a year, only add three shinies the first voting period and two the second voting period and two for the last period, etc. What sort of combination would you like? How many shinies total for the year?
5. We're thinking first voting period is the first full week of February, with 2-3 days between each round of voting (the number of rounds will probably be dictated by how many shinies are being voted in each period and how frequent the periods are). How does that sound?
6. If the first voting period is in February than at the rate of shiny applications, the first new shiny bonding might not happen for 2-3 months after the shinies are voted in. Would people be okay with this? Would people prefer something else? Maybe shinies that are newly voted in can have bondings that operate separately from the usual two week rotation. That'll give us a maximum of 5 bondings at once, when new shinies are voted in, but will have the process going faster. Once the first bonding is done, they will fall into the regular rotation.
Please let us know what you think! Additionally, we'll be adding a 0.25BPSP reward for anyone that takes the time to review other people's shiny creations! We just need to figure out the best way to get these points in. :)
If there isn't a big problem with any of these policies, we'll likely keep them!
Jobs
The consensus seems to be that a job needs to be something that a character does that any other character in the Weyrd can benefit from (IC)*. These jobs still net you 2BPSP per week, and is a great way to get your characters situated with the others and within the Weyrd! We can also put up a list of jobs somewhere so that everyone can see what someone else is! We can also adjust the job information accordingly.
*Obviously if your character is a carpenter and someone else's character melts whenever they touch wood and needs to stay away from it...the carpentry job isn't benefiting that second character but you get what we mean...right?
Let me know if that's what everyone thinks!
PSP Ranks
PSP ranks are just silly titles that shows just how much ofa hoarder you are PSP your character has earned! The following are the first to break the ranks of Novice and are now Prettyshiny Apprentices! Note we have fallen a little behind on archiving (disease, internet, coLDSNOW) so next week may bring a few more! :)
The following characters are now Prettyshiny Apprentices!
Alice Noe
Leonard
Meow Mix
Ophyra
Thane Hampden
Congratulations! Let's see who can catch upand to figure out where to mark these ranks. ;)
We're also open to new suggestions if people would like to change the rank system up! Remember, they don't really do anything besides give you BRAGGING RIGHTS!
And cool badges too, maybe, some day. If anyone wants to make badges. :D
