The Weyrd

A haphazard array of buildings forms what might be called the weyr on a traditional Pernese colony (or a village in Earth terms). Here, it's formed of a random assortment of architecture styles and materials, from a red brick colonial home downtown to a sheet metal shanty serving as the local post office to a collection of glass and steel that might generously be called a post-modern business, but more likely called 'that one ugly place'. Shops, living spaces, and other shelters and businesses are mostly found in this area. Great for saying hi to your neighbour, picking up the week's grocery shopping, or hiring someone to fix your shower when it starts to turn out pink lemonade instead of hot water.
